Hot Riffs – Job Done
The Hot Riffs describe their music as „Neo-Rockabilly inspired by the early eighties style“, and that´s right. After one year of rehearsing and two years of extensive live-work, THE HOT RIFFS are now able to say: „Job Done“.
It´s their first album, and it sounds pretty cool. THE HOT RIFFS prefer slightly clean and uplifting tunes, which take the shortest way into your ears, always flirting with strong melodic hooks. The production is light and clear, and still when slap-bass and drums put a curb on themselves, Semmel´s hotlickin´and sometimes humorous guitar keeps a flame burnin´.It´s Brian´s remarkable voice that gives every HOT RIFF´s song his special blend – stirring up the new, refreshing the old ones. But wether standards like Chuck Berry´s „Too Much Monkey Business“, Queen´s „Crazy Little Thing Called Love“, Elvis´ „So Glad You´re Mine“ or their own stuff, THE HOT RIFFS create an easy goin´ mixture of Rockabilly, classic Rock´n´Roll and romantic ballads. Nice job done.
Who are you?
Burning love
Still alive
Drinkin‘ wine spo dee oh dee
So glad you’re mine
Face it with a grin
Too much monkey business
Hate to say goodbye
Do it my way
Movin‘ fast
Can’t stand it
Crazy little thing called love
